Welcome to The Switch! This site and blog are a combination of efforts by Jill Firns in Saint Louis, MO.

I’ve been blogging for about 5 years now, but a bit of a hiatus settled in between 2017 and early 2018. Life got the better of me and I focused on other things. But we’re back up and running!

The blog was previously named Stilettos on Sunday Morning and saw years of updates, success, and fun. However, as my style and life changed, it became clear that the name needed to be updated as well. I haven’t worn a pair of stilettos in about 3 years!

The current name is inspired by/derived from my other big focus: Switch STL. Launched in May of 2018, Switch STL is a monthly queer dance party that was co-founded with my partner. Switch STL provides a space for LGTBQ+ folks to dance, mingle, drink, and explore. The party is 18+, has no cover, and offers non-alcoholic options for our younger or sober pals.
