Mani Monday: Loose St. Patrick's Day Look

You all know I'm not the biggest fan of doing obvious holiday nail art, right? So you shouldn't have expected anything too crazy from me for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow!

Fun fact time! I grew up in Dogtown, a neighborhood of Saint Louis that throws just about one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day parties around, besides the big downtown event each year. A parade snakes along Tamm Avenue, effectively shutting down the entire 'hood for a day. The 24 hours after St. Patrick's Day in Dogtown should probably be made an official hangover holiday, as well - residents spend that day cleaning up shamrock streamers from their front porches, sweeping beer cans out of their drive way, and drinking up all the leftover Guinness. Just kidding. There's no such thing as leftover Guinness in Dogtown on March 18th.

Since I can't attend the parade this year due to working my big girl 9-5, I know I'll at least be wearing green tomorrow! It's already on my nails, as you can see. This gorgeous, multi-dimensional emerald green is from the brand Morgan Taylor Lacquer. My mother actually discovered this company when she spotted this color, The Big Reveal, being advertised in a nail art magazine. She fell so in love with it she ordered it for herself, but you know I had to give it a try!

Just so that my polish wasn't super boring, you can bet your booty I added in that familiar accent nail. This sparkle is Sinful Colors' Call You Later. It's a great classic sparkle with big green sparkles and tiny gold sparkles, and is perfect for St. Paddy's Day nails! Both polishes applied very easily, with minimal cleanup needed. However, I can already feel the Morgan Taylor Lacquer starting to slightly chip away from the tip of my left index finger... hmmm.

Are you doing anything fancy with your nails for the holiday tomorrow?
