Patio Perfect in Late Saint Louis Summer
If you follow me on my many social media channels, you probably have learned by now that I'm a DJ! My current residency is at Lilly's Music & Social House in Benton Park, where I spin every other Saturday. It's a great new establishment that took over the location that formally belonged to Luvy Duvy's Cafe. The staff and atmosphere are on point, and I have really loved joining their family. They're a blast to hang out with, and I enjoy getting to play music for them and their patrons. Now that the weather is calming down and not quite so hot, I'm really looking forward to spending more time on their patio, so of course I met up with my friend and photographer, Abby Gillardi, to take advantage of some pretty summer weather and snap some pictures!
Lilly's drink menu is extensive and they also offer food if you're looking for a bite to eat. I have yet to try their food, but every drink I've had has been very tasty. The one I tried this day looked like a sunset and tasted like one, too! It's called the L Word, which is of course named after the television show. A few of my friends and I used to binge watch The L Word and stay up until we fell asleep. I think it's the closest I've ever come to being addicted to soap opera-style television!
You've probably heard me talk about how I generally don't wear dresses or skirts, but the Saint Louis heat really can get to me and shake me out of my denim daze. Both this skirt and these vintage leather booties were discovered on the same day at the Value Village in Fenton. How about that for a successful thrifting trip! I've been looking for the perfect high-neck crop top, and Urban Outfitters delivered this time. Lightweight and comfortable, I've been wearing this top non-stop since I picked it up while on my family vacation in Kansas City. The hat is also an Urban Outfitters find. I don't shop there all that often, but when I do, it's because I know they'll have exactly what I'm looking for.
