Midweek Mani: Holiday Happy Nail Art

Merry Christmas Eve, y’all! I hope you’re having a day of whatever you needed most - fun, family, relaxation, last minute shopping… I wanted to share my holiday mani with you! A lot of my friends have been rocking some gorgeous, simple Christmas nail art lately (I’m looking at you, Emily and Katie!), and I was feeling inspired to do something that was a step up from just the typical color scheme.

Because I’m not the biggest fan of super in-your-face holiday themed nail looks, I opted to search for a green color I felt was still seasonally appropriate, but didn’t look like a Christmas tree barfed on my fingers. I spied this stunning green shimmer called “Emerald Blaze” at Walgreens last week and knew it was perfect. It’s from the Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant line - the same line that the pretty fuschia polish from last week belongs to! And just as expected, the polish applied with ease and was opaque in two coats. I’ll definitely be checking out more of the polishes from Covergirl. With a price tag ranging from about $5-$7 depending on your store, I can afford to have a little arsenal of these.

Because “Emerald Blaze” does have a bit of warmth to it, I wanted my accent nail to be a sparkly gold. I ended up adding in holiday red after all with my dotting tool. For more info on how to make these cute little dots (that require no skill at all, really!), head on over to this post! After doing the red dots, I got a little polish happy and put gold dots on the green nails as well. I love the way it turned out! It’s just the right amount of festive.

What’s on your fingertips this week? Did you stick with solid colors or go for a themed look?
